Behind Heirloom
Garden facials passed down through community over generations. Celebrating the healing beauty of nature together.
My journey into opening my own little studio started when I noticed an absence in slow intentional facial techniques in the city compared to quick treatments.
I began with an interest in research, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences with a focus in immunology research. Following this, I earned my Registered Nursing license. I obtained my esthetician training from Spa Tech Institute in Massachusetts.
After experience in the OBGYN field, particularly with those undergoing hormonal changes throughout life (menstrual cycles, menopause, hormone shifts as we age, and those undergoing hormonal supplementation), I gained a passion for how hormonal shifts affect our skin. All facials are gender inclusive. I also specialize in inflammatory skin conditions (rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, perioral dermatitis, etc.) through gut-skin-axis and microbiome research after personal journies dealing with both eczema and dermatitis.
I aim to make your skincare routine as approachable and simple as possible while breaking down education so my clients feel confident in knowing their skin health and what different ingredients can do for them.
My priority is preserving barrier health and function, which means I do not use harsh and aggressive actives when treating acneic skin. All active products, including peels, are made with gentle exfoliants proven to reduce blemishes and prevent new ones from forming while also keeping your skin barrier intact. Apothecary treatments customized to your skin with Botnia and Apoterra farm-fresh skincare.
